From the Bowery to the Boardroom
Franks O’Dea’s rags to riches story of triumph over adversity is one that is unbelievable
and truly inspiring. From living on the street and against all odds, O’Dea became one of
Canada's most successful and celebrated entrepreneurs, founding numerous businesses,
including The Second Cup.
In addition to his string of business successes, Frank's achievements in the not-for-profit
sector, both in Canada and worldwide, are extraordinary, having co-founded Street Kids
International, Canadian Landmine Foundation and co-chaired the original War Child
(Canada).
Among his many honors, Frank has received two honorary university degrees and has
been invested as an Officer of the Order of Canada. This incredibly inspiring story of
resilience and triumph in the face of adversity is retold in his newly released, best-selling
memoir “When All You Have is Hope”.
He is currently the Chair of Royal Roads University Foundation. |
